One of my favorite memories in Zanzibar was staying at Mpole Bungalows in Michamwi, tucked away on the southeast coast. This little paradise had it all:
🌺 Lush tropical gardens filled with birds, lizards, and even a bush baby (thanks to our helpful hosts!).
🌙 We felt totally safe walking the beach at midnight under a moonlit sky — a magical experience complete with a curious bat circling our cellphone light.
🥞 Homemade breakfast was included and it was the best we had on the island — fresh juice, fruit salad, crêpes, homemade jam, and optional eggs.
